Vegas boutique

Swung by there last week... I love everything about ap, but I was disappointed with the selection. They only had maybe 12 men's watches.

Additionally the woman that helped me, while friendly, seemed to know very little about the brand. Mostly regurgitating a canned sales pitch.

This won't turn me off to ap at all but I would like to think with only 4 (think this is right) boutiques in the US, they would have pretty much every watch they offer in stock for viewing. They only had a panda and safari in the offshore case.

Wonder why they choose to limit the selection.

I've been there when they had a much better selection. Perhaps it's the time of year AP sells a bunch of watches. I've never spoken with the sales ladies, only the salesman. He was fairly knowledgeable, but compared to a WIS, only the Rolex store at the Wynn will have knowledgeable staff.

Also, to my knowledge, the AP boutique in Las Vegas isn't owned by AP. It's privately owned.

I've never handled a RO, and I was hoping to see at 15400 in the flesh. I've been told the 15202 is rare, but I was hoping Vegas would have more to show. That sucks about the lack of selection; maybe next time.

They had the silver 15400 and the two tone 15400. No jumbo.
They also had two rose gold dual times which are nice but not particularly very coveted pieces.

They had the white perp calendar and a few tourbillion pieces which are out of reach.

As noted--the LV 'Boutique' (and RM 'Boutique') is actually owned and operated by Westime out of CA.

Not the best staff at any of their stores from my experience.

Head to NYC Boutique and get treated to AP standards.

You're are right. Had an awful experience at westime on sunset in LA looking at some AP. I cant be to hard on these sales people as a lot of us are watch enthusiast and is a hobby to us so knowing about the watch is somewhat enjoyable. This is there job and they don't take it as seriously as we do and don't know as much. I've never met a rolex dealer other than one that new more than me about rolex history and references.

So i don't hold it against them. The only thing that bugs me is when they think there better than me or ignore you thinking you wont buy anything. They forget there the one working a retail job.

I mean i'm 28 so they automatically assume i'm not there to buy. But at my age i think i have a pretty good collection started. My next watch is going to be a AP ROO or a PP nautilus. That's going to be fun walking into a PP boutique at my age. Im going to get no respect in there. lol

I was at the nyc boutique a month ago and it was much better.

Maybe it is just me, but if my job was selling one brand of watches, I would study everything I could.

I'm sure those people have a lot of downtime. Just read up while you are working.

She called the perpetual calendar the "new calendar watch".

I was at at the LV boutique in May. The lady didn't have too much knowledge at all. I recall some of the info wasn't even correct. I wan very disappointed too. The RDV store in Toronto had a better selection. Although the LV boutique did have some expensive pieces.

Thanks
Everett

The Vegas boutique is a collaboration between AP & Westime. I agree wholeheartedly that the sales staff is not as well versed in models as they should be.

You are absolutly right! If I were a salesperson at a botique, I would want to know EVERYTHING there is about what I'm selling.

Unfortunately, I think botiques for a lot of brands have turned into showrooms rather than focusing on sales. If you're not expected to sell then I guess your knowledge is not as important.
