For sale is a Tudor Submariner 94010, black dial, with serial number 888###, dating it to 1978. This watch is part of the short run of 94010’s in 1977-78 to feature a dial that is reminiscent of the Rolex Submariner, and which have been termed the “Black Bay Ancestor.” Watch was serviced by Govberg Jewelers (Rolex AD) in Sept. 2013, at which time luminova hands were installed, along with new crystal and crown (all supplied by Rolex).

Bezel: Tritium pearl insert, bidirectional
Hands: Luminova replacement hands, Mercedes style
Movement: ETA 2776, 25 jewels (rare movement, the 17-jewel one is more common in these watches)
Bracelet: Tudor 78500 with solid links
Condition: Very good; I’ve worn it off and on for 2 years, so there are light scratches/scuffs on the case, crystal, and bracelet
Accessories: Tudor service box
Rolex Service History: When I bought the watch in 2013, I took it to Rolex in NYC, which provided a “service confirmation” document showing they had serviced the watch in 1999
