At the pearly gates a guy is asked by Saint Peter "before I can let you through, you must tell me about one purely selfless act you've done in your life"

The guy says "here's one once I was walking down the street and I saw a gang of thugs harassing a defenseless old lady on the other side. I did what my father always told me and went over there, walked up to the biggest one and punched him right in the face, then I looked at the others and said - LOOk, YOU MESS WITH HER AND YOU MESS WITH ME!!!"

Impressed Saint Peter said "wow, I didn't see that in your file, when did that happen?"

The guy looked at Saint Peter and replied "oh, about 30 seconds ago"
