Absolutely, it is pretty much my daily watch - still working on adding a matching 004v2 in WG to the collection as well! Unfortunately there aren't many around.

Inside not sure, certainly doubt APRP, however my understanding is complete case redesign...nothing more at this point.

Hopefully later next month.

I just hope they don't play with it too much.

Wow. I assume to counteract the strength in the usd? Will be interesting to see what changes come to the 11. They would be smart to make them evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

Wow. 5% decrease is not that crazy as it would make sense. Complete redesign of their best selling model is BIG news!

Interesting. I assume they're going to discontinue the current rm11 models? That'd be a nice counter valuation-wise to the price drop.

I saw someone called the baby blue/orange 011 I posted The Last Edition... now that make sense...

To be honest can't see how they can improve the 011...

Yes on the price decrease...it's understood and think we'll see others doing the same thing depending upon region.

As for new 011, I have nothing else at this point.

I just pray they don't try to go too far with the 'improvements'.

AD's have not even seen a drawing, so will be interesting to see what/when this actually shows up. Maybe it won't come to fruition, but with the price decrease it makes sense. We'll see this year...or so I'm told.

Just thinking this through more, I can't see them abandoning the tonneau shape of the 011, which was my initial thought when I heard it was being changed. It wouldn't make sense because the tonneau design is reiterated across so many models - the 10, 35, 55, etc - that were they to want a new shape, they'd just assign it a new numeral like the 028.

So, the change must either be to the dial, the sides, or the movement. My bet would be on either or both of the latter two.

Don't think they are changing 'shape', but any of these other things mentioned along with thickness, functionality (maybe change month location on dial), crown, etc. I don't think this will be revolutionary (or I sure hope not) vs evolutionary.

No, just a nice light catching the regular carbon baseplate.
No baseplate involvement – that’s just reflectance from the AR coating on the crystal.

Hopefully just a change so you don't have to cycle through the entire calendar to reset the month!

Hey all, I am thinking I may be in the market for Mille. What would a safe discount be for either a 29/30 Thanks in advance

For the 29, it is less popular so I would say the approach here is buy used at 50+ per cent haircut. 30 easily available new with 30-35% off. perhaps smaller discount if a limited edition. 11 better value than both and more liquid.

^^ the guru has spoken and all spot on. However, keep in mind Roger is in HK, so discounts vary to USD and US market.

However, HIGHLY advise a 011 (Massa) to be safe over 29 or 30.

Other 'safe(r) pieces (if bought right) are Bubba or 035...but price is key.

FANTASTIC to hear you're thinking about RM--it's a stunner. But be careful on which piece and what price.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Try and push it to an 11 if at all possible. The 11 is a HOT watch.

I was looking at the 11 as well in titanium, thanks for the push in that direction. Chicago has a new AD. I will try some on and see. Thanks GENTS!

Much better option! Good luck!! Private message me if you need a good RM source in Miami that sells new watches CHEAPER than RM boutiques. If possible, try NOT TO PAY RETAIL for ANY RM.

Where's the Chicago AD? I was just there for a few weeks. Seems most high end watch stores are in car dealerships, which is a costly but wonderful arrangement.

It used to be Swiss fine Timing. Now it is Geneva Seal on Oak street. Ah yes B young and co. A lot of nice eye candy in there

Hmm. Must've walked right past it getting a nice overcoat from Brunello Cucinelli there a couple weeks ago. Of course it was like 10 below so I wasn't really looking around much. Very cool area, though.

There are people who pay retail for RM? Apart the ultra limited editions can't imagine someone doing that, I went to an AD in Paris, Chronopassion, on a 011 they told me if I wanted they would do me discount, didn't ask how much as I didn't want one, nice but a little thick for my taste, might be wrong but the 2 I like seem much thinner, need to see them IRL, to Hairdude, buy what you like best, my 2 favorite are the 055 and 035, maybe not as safe and liquid as 011 but nicer looking IMO, haven't grown to feel comfortable wearing a watch that price but I will probably get there, 5 years ago I thought I would never wear a watch worth more than 5K, so my price limit is slowly growing...

To answer your question I think MOST people pay retail or very close to it for RM. Most folks who can afford an RM are not fanatics like us and don't know/care enough about the process. Also most RM own boutiques rarely discount much if at all from my experiences.

Thanks good to know, there was a guy I knew who wanted a RM 005, since it wasn't available my grey dealer friend could get it with a very big discount, around 20% plus do tax refund, so I figured that boutiques do discounts on not very popular models but never on limited editions or very popular models, where I went was not a boutique, just AD

Ps: If you really want one of these 2 I would definitely take the 030, it looks way nicer than the 029, but the price is a little stiff for what it is, the 011 with it's more complicated functions or the 055 and 035 with their amazing movements and stunning looks are a little more expensive but not very much, I would definitely choose between those 3 if I were you.
