Day Date Real or Fake
Hi there,
I'm new to the forum. My dad has a rolex day date that has been sitting in his drawer for years now which he says he got from his friend. Wondering if it's real. If so I would like to get it working as I tried winding it and nothing. If you could let me know if it's real and where Toronto, Canada would be a trusted place to get it serviced and about how much? Thanks in advance. |

Sorry but it is a fake and a bad one. Genuine Day-Dates are either yellow gold 18K, or White gold 18K or Platinum .950. Never Gold and Steel.

haha thanks everyone. I had a feeling it was fake but my dad insisted it was real. Now to break the news that his friend gave him a fake watch as a gift :(

It's a real fake, if that's any consolation to your Dad.

Common sense should tell you that most friends don't give a 25 plus thousand dollar watch to other friends. It would be nice, but........
