Best place to purchase a used 93150 clasp?

Hello,

Please pardon the stupid question, but what would be the best/safest route to purchase a 93150 locking clasp for my 16700? I feel uncertain about purchasing from Ebay.

Thank you for any assistance!

If yours is broken....why not get a RSC - or an AD with a parts account / watch maker to replace it with a new one?

The best / safest route I know.

Thanks for the reply. I have the 78360 non-locking clasp, still functional, and really want the locking feature of the 31950.

The best route is to find a complete bracelet.

Thank you, Tools! I see what you mean

Random question, would the 91350 clasp be a bolt-on upgrade to my existing bracelet though? Or do you think I'd have fitment issues?

Any Oyster clasp will fit on any Oyster bracelet, you just need all the parts..

There are several for sale in the classified section right here on TRF. It is a direct replacement except for the one tiny issue that the link that is permanently attached to the new clasp will have a brushed finish on the sides of it whereas all your other links will have polished sides. The 93150 clasp is alot longer that the 78360 so your bracelet will gain some length in the process. You can also search for a 78790 clasp which has the fliplock too and is shorter and has an attachment link with polished sides.

NKflyer- Very good info here, thank you!

I wasn't fully aware of the length difference. Hmm, that makes me very interested in the 78790 clasp!

Ahh, so with the 78790 I could simply purchase the clasp alone...like this? This would keep the length of my 78360 bracelet the same length?

Thank you!

Please disregard my last. Upon further inspection, I would of course need more parts than is listed.

Whichever fliplock clasp you choose, I would try to buy a whole clasp with blades, attachment link, etc which is a one minute swap and you can retain your existing clasp for originality. Something like this (I have no affiliation with this seller, just an example):

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=442508

The 93150 clasp is longer to allow for the divers extension that is normally fitted but you can remove a link from the 12 o'clock side of the bracelet to compensate.

It sounds like the 78790 clasp might be more suitable but they are going to be more scarce to find. The 93150 was in production for almost 20 years already before the 78790 was introduced.

Perfect! Thank you so much for the help on this. I've been searching unsuccessfully for a complete 78790 (w/ blades & attachment link etc). Now I understand why it's so much harder to find.

I see what you mean about removing a link from the 12 o'clock side. Thank you for posting the classified link...contacting him now.

Thank you, Sir
