yeah..the weird thing is..the hands are super luminova...and the dial is the original T<25 dial...so the lume is almost dead. Which is fine with me....as long as the hand lite up..I can tell what time it is. The movement was completely taken apart and serviced...for fear that the second hand lume fell thru the date hole and entered the movement. The service guy at Shreve said he found NO lume in the movement....must have just disintegrated!!

He did say...that it looked like (from the corrosion to the hand stack) that at some point...a small amount of water or condensation got into the watch..and slowly ate it away. During the time Expy was away from me....my wife reminded me of a time in Hawaii in the mid 90's that I complained the crystal was a bit fogged up. Took the watch to a AD on Kona...and they refused to mess with it.....I think they wanted it to go to RSC....so I just opened the crown and put it on a light bulb until it dried out.

Funny how I forget these things...god I hate getting old....but then again...I wasn't a WIS at that point.....in fact, back then, I only had that Expy and a TT Tag (blk & gld) 1000.

Under all standards, it sure does look better now....

If corrosion had occured at the hands' stack, how is the movement?

Movement was fine....zero issues there! Thank god! The only thing...and I think I posted this before..is that the T<25 lume on the "new" dial is dead...the hands appear to be luminova...and lite up like crazy! The one thing I think I should have had done was a new bezel...but the older one give the watch a bit of character......til next time!
