How to tell if insert is Rolex or fake?

I recently aquired this bezel insert and need to know to to tell if it is rolex or after market? Ref. 16753

I got it from a seller in Germany.

that may be the case 25-30 yrs ago. Nowadays, knock-offs came from China.

Most likely real, but not even a dealer can tell for sure. If you have some papers on it, you can asumme it´s real.

I'm no expert but I do know that Rolex does strive to make all their products perfect. Now I know that a lot has slipped through the QC shop. I've seen mistakes made by Rolex.

One thing I noticed when looking at the dial on ebay was the number "8" appeared in bold print. I'm not sure if that means anything but looking at my GMT bezel insert, the 8 appears to be the same as the 18. Just an observation.

I have seen that in some cases along the edge of the numerals there is a hairline bleed-thru of color mix.however that might only be the case for low-end knock offs.
I dont make it a habit of doing quality checks on fakes.
