Your Stable of Five
If you can have 5 and only 5 watches which ones would they be and why?
Mine in no particular order: 1. My '70-71Tudor DD: Whenever I want to "dress up" and it is a Family heirloom 2. Explorer II White Dial: Everyday, has GMT and I just love the look 3. Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch style but auto with saphire: for the weekends when I don't need the date and need to know my lap time. 4. Pam 279: (Would be my everyday but I realistically cant spend the $$$ on it) I love the pams and this one is TI so it is light and robust. This one is for when I dont care if I scream "Look at my watch!" 5. My Victorinox Maverick II: Great "beater" watch, I wear this one when I am working in the yard, changing the oil or riding my bicycle. |

1. My Existing Tudor Prince Date Sub. Was bought for me by my parents
2. My Existing Rolex TT Sub (Blusey) Was bought by me as it was the watch i always wanted and to celebrate that I had a job that could finally afford it. 3. A white gold Daytona, with black leather strap and red stitching- I just a bowled over by its beauty 4. A Breguet 5480 in White Gold- Its just such a stunner!!! 5. I think it would be a Panerai Pam 249, this might be my flipper. The other four I would never sell, this one I think is gorgeous, but i could see it falling out of the rotation. |

- Omega GMT 2234.50 - Omega Planet Ocean - Big - Rolex GMT or GMTII (old style) with Plexiglass - Any vintage SS Sub. Would also think hard about a Patak and a Glashutte.

My 5 dream watches (as of right now today).
"Blancpain Fifty Fathoms" - gorgeous watch. "Yact-Master II" Big and Bold. "Urwerk Blackshark" Incredible. "Hublot Bat Bang Tourb" - How can you NOT like this? ABOVE "After a successful Baselworld debut the Meccanico by De Grisogono may be one of the most wanted watches available. Unfortunately it is not even available as all 177 are already sold out. I did not get a chance to find out the price, but well over $300,000 is a good guess. This watch is not only eye candy, it also the world's first mechanical digital wristwatch. It was created using 651 elements and features two time zones, one is traditional analog, the other is a mechanical digital display. This is a hand-wound DG 042 movement, exclusive to De Grisogono. It has a 35-hour power reserve and makes 28,800 vibrations per hour. The analog hours and minutes display is in on the upper part of the dial and the mechanical digital display of a second time zone is on the lower part of the dial. It comes in titanium, titanium and rubber, titanium and platinum, 18k pink gold and titanium and 18k pink gold. My personal favorite is the titanium and rubber (pictured above), although I am sure there will be many desirable variations available in the future." |
