Hi guys, this is going to my first Rolex and am sort of walking in the dark here. I am stuck between a
1) Rolex Submariner 18K Gold Steel Blue 16613 w/ Box Papers Year 2003 Serial-F and a

2) Rolex Submariner 18K Gold steel black 166133 w/ Box Papers year 2003 Serial-F (one with the diamond dial "serti")

Both are in pristine condition

I am wondering which one would do better in value in the future and what kind of prices would I be looking at if it's a decent/good deal?

I would go with the 16613LB. While I like diamonds I do not like them on subs.

Number 2 if the 116613 has the newer clasp (Glide Lock) I'm not big on diamonds either but in this case, I'd make an exception.

Hard to predict future value...as both are precious metal, there is going to be more depreciation than steel.

Just guessing here, but I would go with the blue one. You might have to pay a premium for the serti dial which you won't recover if you flip it. Plus, I like blue.

Now, if you like the serti dial better and don't have any intention of ever flipping, then of course there's your answer. Good luck.
