Selling a 114060 for a new 39mm OP
So I've been trying to sell my 114060 for something else and I've come across the new 39mm OP with rhodium dial...this would be my one and only as i've sold all my other pieces...The new case on the ceramic models just isn't as comfy as my old 14060M and I REALLY like the rhodium dial OP but have yet to try it on or see it in the flesh...Am I having a moment here or do you guys think as a one and only watch the new OP would be a good choice? I know it's up to me ultimately and i'm the one wearing it but I just wanted to get some opinions here. Thanks in advance everyone and look forward to what your thoughts are.

Get what you want - the 39mm rhodium OP is gorgeous and a terrific choice, understated and elegant while also pure Rolex. If the SubC is uncomfortable, no reason why you should keep it - in a sense, you've already paid for the OP by selling the Sub. I say go for it.

I think the sub and the OP would make a great pair, is what I think.

I wouldn't get rid of one for the other....but certainly I know your infatuation with the OP 114300 since I am in the same boat! That dial is just beautiful.

I wouldn't do it, you will take a hit on the 114060 and the 114300 OP is much less popular you will take even a bigger hit when trying to sell it all of this over a few millimiters of thickness.

If it's not comfortable then what's the point in wearing it? I agree the super cases are less comfy than 5 digit subs.
For your one and only, a 39mm oyster perpetual sounds like a great idea (for you). |

Selling a 114060 for a new 39mm OP
While I've never worn a 5 digit case, I would definitely not sell my 114060 for an OP as I much prefer the aesthetics of the sub. I also find that overall comfort depends on the bracelet adjustment just as much as size and weight, which puts the 114060 to an advantage vs the OP because of the on the fly adjustability of Glidelock.
But that's just me :) |
