Can't go wrong with either, but Explorer II would be my choice.

If you love the SD4K, I would personally save up and wait for it. Because if you get the Sub but your heart is set on the SD, trust me, you will flip the Sub (and lose some cash in the process). The difference ain't that much.

Man... I really must be in the minority for liking Explorer II more than the Sub.
My vote goes to Exp II!!

I love the old subs but can't bond with the new SubC. But I am with you, for some reason I like the Sea Dweller. Every time I visit my local AD, I can't believe myself for not liking the new SubC yet really liking the Sea Dweller. I think I am weird sometimes...

In your case, the Exp II (more functionality).

Thanks for all of the excellent feedback and pictures. It is amazingly helpful. I'm leaning toward the black Explorer 2. It seems like the sportiest sports watch. I love the black covering on the base of the hands. It has a date function and it's a great size. I know on some it can be too large, but it fits my wrist quite well. A huge added bonus is the value on a gently used one on the forum. Thanks again!
