Its a big decision. I would also be in the group that says let her pick her own watch out. She will be wearing it for many years and only she knows exactly what she wants. I recently did this with my wife. January was her 50th Bday and February was our 30 year Anniversary. So I marked both occasions with something really special.

I like you thought she would love the diamonds. But my wife didnt (she said way too busy) and got a more plain 31mm 2 tone. I would have totally picked the wrong watch for her tastes. It also took my wife about 2 weeks of looking on line and then in person before she made her decision. But now she got exactly what she wanted. Best wishes for a very special day.

My wife has the diamond MOP and loves it. Cartier, Chanel and Omegas she owns never get worn now.

Good luck

I like the MOP. However, seriously, ask her what she likes.

Congrats on your child.

I like the silver dial. It's more elegant to me & less splashy. The MOP is nice but, for me, it's too shiny to tell time very well. She most likely has younger eyes than I do so that might not be an issue. LOL

Congrats.. :-)

I've just asked my wife and she says to let your wife choose. Aside from the other similar advice that's been given already on this thread, what looks good in a picture might not look so good on her. While in the AD, she might see something else. Bottom line, let her choose.

Good luck and congrats on junior

OP, you may think you're buying a watch, but you're not. You're buying jewellery (yes, you are), and as such...

It seems crazy that this truism needs to be openly stated, but apparently it does.

As long as the watch is not a surprise let her choose what she likes. But it's a must that she try them on as they usually look much different on the wrist than in a photo. Don't let her just point to a photo and say, "that's the one".

I believe the chances of her wanting to merely look at photos and decide/point to what kind of Rolex watch-jewellery she'll want to wear is basically slim to none. She'll want to try them on, guaranteed.

Women don't need to be told the standard TRF "Go try them all on before you decide" thing. That's Beginner jewellery shopper 101 stuff intended for us guys. They, on the other hand, are experts. They invented trying on stuff and are light years ahead of us. It would be like buying a new car with no test drive, only a million times less likely to happen.

Silver to me. White is too plain. The others 2 busy. Silver is classic yet interesting.
