Hello to All
Just found this site, and I think it's great!
I currently have a RG TTDJ and a SS Sub Date. The DJ is my weekday at work watch, while the Sub gets a workout every weekend. My wife just gave me the go-ahead to purchase the new TT GMT. in honor of the birth of our 3rd grandson. I convinced her that I need a watch for each boy, as part of their enventual inheritance. I'm looking forward to visiting often, and I love all the info on this site. Cheers, Robert |

Welcome, Robert.
I'm glad that you wear your TT DJ every day - so do I and I can definitely recommend the new TT GMT IIc. I like your reasons for justifying getting 3 Rolex watches. Have fun working your way around the Forums and taking part.

Thanks guys.
By the way, my wife & I just got back from a 2 week trip to the UK. We've been several times before, and we always have a great time. But, the exchange rate killed us this time. Saw some great looking watches at Harrods. I'll post pics of my watches when I can. Regards, Robert |

Here's a picture of what you are looking at owning soon:
I thought I'd tempt you and have you go out quickly and join the TT GMT IIc owner's club. This watch is amazingly accurate and rugged. Welcome to TRF and good-luck on your upcoming purchase. Terry Newton

Hello again -
Well, I visited my local AD yesterday afternoon and he has two of the GMT's in stock that I am interested in. My wife is also looking for a new watch, perhaps a Rolex, but she doesn't really have the bug. Anyway, I'm hoping to get some kind of a "discount" if I purchase two at once. They are checking on some prices for her on another brand, so we are going back tomorrow, hopefully to make our purchase. I'll try to post some pics this weekend. Regards, Robert |

Very nice. Good for you. Now I have a fellow TT GMT IIc owner instead of all of the SS versions.
Nice collection you have there. If I had a Datejust like yours our collection would be identical. It's good your spouse does not have the bug. Mine doesn't either. She is satisfied with the Omega that I bought her some years back for a Christmas present. Otherwise I would be in the poor farm now instead of hobnobbing with all of you rich dudes. Terry Newton

Yes, thank goodness she really doesn't care for the look of the ladies Rolexes. She did find a nice David Yurman SS with a few very small diamonds, and my AD gave me a very nice discount for making two purchases. Overall, I made out quite well.
This AD has a "wish list" for customers and so she put down a few other items for me to keep in mind. So, I added a beautiful WG Daytona with a nice burgandy leather band which he had in the case. You never know, maybe she'll surprise me one day! |

The "tamuaggie82" stands for Texas A&M University Aggies, of which I was the Class of 1982. We Aggies are a proud lot, if not sometimes a little stange. Regards, Robert |

Neil -
I love the DJ, but I'm really getting attached to my new GMT IIc. As an aside, I always enjoy "meeting" folks from the UK on TRF. My wife & I have visited 4 times in the past 10 years, most recently in May, and we always have a great time. Although the exchange rate was killing us on this recent trip. Of course, that didn't stop her from shopping at Harrods while I was looking over their selection of Rolexes. Regards, Robert |

I know what you mean - I love my GMT and wear it every weekend . I'm pleased that you've managed to pay the UK a visit four times. I was in London myself in March and had a wander around Harrods - it's an amazing store, with a great Rolex section. They had a GMT ICE there at the time, but only brought it out for private viewings, by appointment. Selfridges also had a great watch section. The $:£ rate is shocking for you guys from the States at the moment, but I hope it didn't spoil your enjoyment of our country. At least the memories that you left with were free of charge .
