Icon20 Ideal wrist size for...

Hi all,

If you want a great fit, what is the ideal smallest reasonable wrist size for:

15450
15300
Jumbo
15400
ROC
42mm
44mm

I know folks like oversize watches but am more concerned with a good fit. I know wrist shape plays a role, just looking for a general guide rather than forcing something to fit.

Thanks.

For a small wrist that cant handle a RO lug size 15450 and the 39mms. Ive seen people with smaller wrists pull off the 44mm's better than a 42mm

15300 works great with a 6.75" wrist.

@ #333 – why aren’t you in school, answering questions instead of asking daft ones?

I don't think any of us could come up with a generic rule. I can speak only for myself, based on my own experiences. 6.3 inch flat wrist here, ideal watch size between 37mm and 42mm with other brands. 39mm ROs look almost too large on my wrist due to the lug shape. 37mm would be the perfect fit, but I personally would only go for the 15450ST if it had a dark tone dial option. Anything above 39mm is a no-go for me, especially all the Offshores. The gap between my wrist and the lugs are quite prominent even with the 42mm ROOs. But, as long as AP makes sub-40mm RO models, I can't complain :)

PJ, if you don't want to answer the guys questions then don't but if you can't say anything nice or worthwhile maybe you should zip it.

I tried on the 41mm RO on bracelet and I think I would work on my 6.5" wrist. The only thing is that it may need a 1.5 link for a good fit.

Thanks for the responses so far, that's encouraging that I may be able to go up to 41mm or so!

Generally I use the lugs rule of not going past the edge of my wrists.

Generally speaking, with AP a flat wrist is more important for a good fit than size. In my own experience, 6.75 flat and you can swing pretty much any AP (using XS straps for the larger models).

Of course, you should try and see what you like.

6.5-6.75 and the lugs didnt work for me with 39mm RO w/bracelet but surprisingly 44mm ROO with a rubber strap looked ok

Flat wrist again, if 6.5 or more and flat it's good...

Ooohh…who licked the cream of your bun?
And that was me being nice – as well as you not appreciating the word “banter”.

Now, given the member has only joined and choice of username, it has all the indicators of a bored 15 year old fantasist whilst bunking off school, on the wind up – especially as he seems to know all the downsides to there being a definitive answer.

If he’s still off school tomorrow, then maybe he can post his wrist shots of aforementioned models, which we can opine about whether they work for him or not.

This all presumes he’s not asking just so he can buy fakes!

Ok I get it PJ. He's guilty until proven innocent according to you. But, your comments are rude and obnoxious. And you call that "banter".

Haha, I'm just glad I wandered over from the other forum. At first I thought AP looked strange, but it's really grown on me. And then you have the ROO which my UK friends would probably call chav, but look great too. I was planning on getting a ceramic Daytona, but I figure a 15300 or 15202 or ROC may be in my future instead.

PJS- who are you to be critizing other people on the forum? I would strongly suggest you cool down your tone as your posts have recently been off putting to several if not all members of this forum including me.

PM me which ones you’re referring to, as nothing springs to mind, in that regard.

Let's be adults here people. This is a friendly forum for friendly people.

My mother taught me at a young age... If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all 👍

Hmmm did I miss something? Is the OP like your nephew or something? Do you know him?

This seems like a fast track sentence to getting banned.

Mine said the same thing too – she gave up after she was told she was wrong.
She was not a happy camper that day, I can tell you that much.

Only that he (darthrabbi33⅓) knows a bit of banter and tongue-in-cheek when he sees it, and the at the top of my other reply.
Other than that, perhaps the most important meal of the day – but you haven’t said whether you skipped breakfast or not.

Possibly, if there was any sincerity behind it.
Your own comment lends itself to be adjudged as inflammatory and/or antagonistic – or am I misinterpreting that?
