Oysterflex = Magic

I like both rubber and leather straps.

I find them to be much more comfortable over long days.

After wearing the oysterflex since I got it, I put on another piece with a rubber strap for the day.

I could not wait until I got home to swap them out. Rolex really is impressive to me. Shocked though that they are not rolling these out on other models.

The watch is so comfortable it almost defies all senses.

Awesome, Seth.

It does look like they would try this on some other models...the DSSD and the YM2 for example would benefit greatly from an added comfort factor.

That's awesome. I'm sure it's one of those "must try it to believe it" types.
Enjoy!

Thanks for adding that picture.

I actually thought those strips were frivolous. I figured it was more marketing.

But on no, the watch hugs my wrist with plenty of flex and breathability. It's supremely well balanced and comfortable.

It's incredible.

Lovely piece, I really do hope Rolex offers the OysterFlex as an option to the Submariner, DSSD and other sport watches.

I have tried one on, it fit perfectly without any adjustments needed. Very comfortable indeed. I only wish they would get rid of the gap between the strap and the case.

Yes the comfort on the Oysterflex is extremely and immediately noticeable upon wearing it.

My reasons for not jumping on it immediately are:

1) No end links. Don't like the Gap. Don't shop at the Gap...
2) I miss the heft of the PM watches with Pm Bracelet.
3) The Price is still to high.

I would still consider a 116515, and wear it on a rubber B and be able to trade off to the Leather strap for Dinner or formal occasions...

I do believe I know why there are no endlinks. I think it's due to the baffles under the Oysterflex. If they went with end links, then the baffles would be just that much further on the sides of your wrists instead of on top where the magic happens...

I'm jealous Seth! I had an aha moment when trying it on last fall. Expectations were tempered after so many on TRF thought it felt emotionally flat after trying it. I felt the complete opposite and it was very comfortable to boot. Also the gap is a non issue for me after sampling it on the wrist. Hardly visible.

Enjoy it.

Sorry pal.

I'll get it done tonight. I promise.

And it'll be a pleasure. This thing is just so nice.

Interestingly enough, I was one of those people.

Loved the Basel pics, didn't love it in person.

But then I saw it multiple times and tried it on, and the rest is history.

The gap bothers me not at all. I don't even notice it.

I think you are exactly correct Sam. Pros and cons to everything.

And for me, the cons are insignificant in comparison.

I will admit I loved it in the pictures and when I first bought it. I went through a phase of "so what" it was pretty flat looking, didn't quite have the "pop" as the pictures and few a few dollars more could have bought a WG YM!! Had the strap tightened a bit and now in love again!! It's competing against my aquanaut for weekend wear!

I'd bet that its only a matter of time.

What kind of flexibility is inside the clasp to fine tune or extend if needed (like easy link)? I'd imagine something like the glidelock on the Subs combined with the rubber strap would be fantastic.

Glad you're enjoying it...I haven't had the opportunity to try one on yet. May have to do so next time at the AD.

I would love to purchase an oysterflex bracelet and a glidelock for my submariner.

I think you are correct Bill. Only a matter of time.

Sadly right now, minimal play, but it does not seem to need it.

I agree that with a glidelock or ezlink it would be even better. I imagine they could do it pretty easy.

I love the oysterflex. I was so disappointed that they didn't use that marvel of engineering on other watches at Basel this year. I guess there is always next year.

Ha. I like ur description.

It's the 2015 release. YM. Rose gold on rubber. And I think it's 24k list.
