116610 Submariner Availability in Australia

There is roughly a 12-month wait list if you want a new steel Submariner 116610 from an Australian AD.

Why bother? My wife walked into a Rolex AD in Dubai and picked it out of the display case. They asked her if she wanted a Hulk as they had those in the shop as well!

I was told the Australian AD's get an allocation of one SS Sub per month, whereas in Dubai, each AD gets about 40 a month.

No discounting in Australia for steel subs, whereas in Dubai, they give you 10% discount.

40 a month per AD is not true. Availability is pretty decent but nowhere near 40 per month...
Nice pickup, a real classic, never gets old.

Congrats on your new purchase. Nice watch that can last a lifetime!

Beware that the bracelet may scratch your case. Cheers mate

In Aus, the Rolex allocation for steel sports models is a joke! Congrats on the sub and wear it in good health!

I'm still baffled every time I read about the scarcity in Australia.
I guess we're spoiled in the States as just about everything is readily available.
Congrats on the Sub!

Most of the big trusted sellers here on the forum sell to members located in OZ.
Not sure about customs and taxes though.

Congratulations. Did you get dinged on import duties/taxes on the way back in?
