I would definitely try on the Daytona in person. It was the Rolex I was going to buy when I got re interested in watches last fall but I really didn't like the shiny bezel and the subdial hands blended in too much with the subdials for me when I saw them in person. There are lots of really good options and you are right it's a big purchase. Take your time and look around on the forum at pictures, descriptions and keeping posting threads and join in all the discussions you want. This is a great forum with tons of great and very supportive people with tons of knowledge. The input of others on here helped me a lot in my decision making. Welcome to TRF. Russell.

Always stainless for me, two tone....bit vulgar. No offence to tt wearers but SS only for me.

Seems you are unsure about a Daytona...may want to do some visiting to a few shops and try on the different pieces.
+1

Love love love the Daytona. Not a fan of any TT watches.

I went ahead and bought the Daytona. New SS was available and it was too good to pass on.
