93150 Clasp
Hi
A "screw" on my 93150 clasp has bent over so I cant close it properly. When I went to a Rolex AD they said it would cost $50-180, I asked the guy if they would replace the whole clasp or just the bent "screw" he wasn't sure. What do you guys think, is the price fair? do I need to buy a whole new clasp? Would it be cheaper to do it myself? |

Very common and easy to fix. Just get a new rivet installed by any competent jeweler or watchmaker.

You can bend it back without a problem I have done it myself numerous times. Just wrap needle nose pliers in tape and straighten the pin.

Agree with try it youself. If you break it, well then you're in the same position as you are now but with a lesson learned (being, don't listen to us ;) ).

I agree with above that you do this at your own risk, but I will say that I used to be afraid to "fix" issues with my bracelets until I realized they weren't as fragile as I expected. Also I have found that I use more care/caution that most jewelry/watch repair people.

Fully agreed as to all. I've found a set of needle nose pliers with tape on the nose is an excellent Rolex bracelet adjustment apparatus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
