I would not get the YM as a daily wear when I was young as the platinum bezel is more susceptible to getting hacked up. I have the blue dial and love it but it is only worn about once a week, not all the time. Everyone here will tell you to never sell your first Rolex and I absolutely agree. Most of us who do have regretted it. Having said that, I would get something with a ceramic bezel and one that will stand the test of time. Either the GMT or a Sub will be more pleasing to your eye and may feel better on your wrist. Start with that and go from there. If you could somehow manage it, a dream graduation Rolex could be a DaytonaC 116500 black dial, black ceramic bezel (cue the mic drop!)

I absolutely agree. You have time. Law school is three years. If your dad is getting the YM, he can get on the list for the Daytona. You'll have it by the end of the first year. Heck, if he has bought from the AD before, you could even have it in a few months. That being said if it has to be one of the other two, I vote BLNR. More of a young guy's watch.

I'm a lawyer and I love my BLNR. Goes nice with my Hulk too! If I had to do it over again, I would buy the BLNR again and again and again. I love mine and I love it looking worn in even better - you will too.

Well being you won't be in the courtroom for a few years on a REGULAR basis, I would go BLNR. The Exp I and Milgaus may be another route you want to look if you are set on "dressy." For the price of a BLNR, you may be able to get two dressier, not as expensive watches if you are having a tough time.

BLNR for a daily wearer, the YM for a second Rolex.
But, for me, the classic sub would still be more versatile than the BLNR. Be that as it may, hit the nearest AD, try all the pieces you want, and get the one that makes your heart skip a beat. Good luck. Sent from hell
