FS: Audemars Piguet Classic Military Dial, 2121, LE of 50, Warranty, Reduced
For Sale is my Audemars Piguet Classic w/ Military Dial, Ltd Edition of 50 pieces, Cal.2121, Serviced & Warranty *REDUCED*
Limited Edition of 50* pieces made for the German Market in approx. 1996 Caliber 2121 Ultra-Thin Movement with numbered rotor 36mm stainless steel case Display back Original Boxes, leather pouch, booklets and Papers Service papers & service box Two AP brown calf straps (one that came with the watch, one I bought during service) Serviced in March 2015 by AP Clearwater, Balance of the two-year warranty remains After a long search, I purchased this watch in December 2014 from a watch retailer in Germany. As a precaution, I had it serviced by AP a few months later to ensure that everything was well maintained and running properly. It received a full overhaul and a new strap. The balance of the 2 year warranty remains. The watch was not polished during the service, since it was already in very nice condition. The SS Case has some light signs of wear. The movement is running great, and everything functions as it should. There are a few imperfections on the edge of the glossy black lacquered dial, which can be seen under close inspection. Overall, it's in very nice condition, especially for its age. This watch has the same Cal.2121 that has been used in the Royal Oak Jumbo for decades. It is often referred to as one of the finest automatic movements ever made, and it was originally used by AP, VC, and Patek. During my search to find this watch, I contacted AP for some additional information about this specific model. In an email response, they noted that this was a limited edition of 50 pieces made for the German market in 1996. However, they only produced 25 total…some have a black dial and some were made with a silver dial of some sort. Other than the email, I have no physical proof of that information. The rotor still has #XX/50 engraved. This is a unique AP with the legendary 2121 movement and a neo-vintage/military style. It includes the original boxes/papers, booklets, was recently overhauled by AP and still under warranty. I have a low post count here, but I'm a long-time member on other forums with high post count and plenty of references. REDUCED TO $7450 obro. Includes overnight shipping, conus only. Payment by wire. No trades at this time please. I have tons of references from the last few years that can be provided. Please feel free to ask any questions. Sent from my iPhone |
