Sharon

Paul Verhoeven, Basic Instinct's first director, promised Ms. Stone that her ‘beaver’ wouldn’t show in the final edit of the film. We all know the truth and in an interview I read from her this week she said she still hates him for this but otherwise thinks he’s a great director and that this movie launched her career. He explained later that he had to lie because otherwise she would never have done it.

For those who don’t remember the shot, here it is (warning very adult link!!!!).

Hey Dutchie, keep your paws off our beloved beaver.

BTW, anyone remember the guy who was sitting opposite Ms. Stone in that scene?

None other than our favourite mailman...... Newman (Wayne Knight).
