Submariner Chamfers/Bevels

Nice thread necro!

Many things make my unpolished 4-line 14060m an absolute pleasure to wear, but my favorite thing has to be the chamfers. There's something about the way it cuts gracefully through the case, separating the brushed top and polished sides with a sparkle of reflection, that gives me warm and fuzzy feelings when it's on my wrist. It's one of the reasons why I'll never get my Sub polished!

I'm the original owner of this 15 year old never-polished 16610 K series and it has well pronounced chamfers. You may have been the victim of chamfer theft. I don't want to hear about your petty jealousies.

I'm the original owner of mine as well, 21 years old. It has only been serviced / polished by Rolex

Perhaps the guy polishing your Submariner at the service center had a bad day. Only explanation.

Perhaps...... I have owned it for so long that don't remember how it looked when new. Anyway, not concerned at all!
