Yes and no. At least one AD has told me they won't take orders on it anymore and they have none left. That's without the release of the "new catalog". Not trying to be too clever just reporting back to the group!

I don't see a strong business case for Rolex to continue manufacturing it knowing that most folks are going to want the ceramic (or risk people settling for the 116520 and eating into the sales of the ceramic as well as diminishing the mystique of the long waiting list). Also, the 116520 is more readily available now, which IMO only bolsters the idea that Rolex won't make anymore of them.

Having said that, who knows!

I am new to the world of Rolex and I'm realizing that it's a highly, highly mysterious world. It is fun to read all of the opinions, however!

Fwiw, my AD was at Basel and was told 116520 will be discontinued. Did not get into whether they can sell any left over stock.

False...I walked into my local AD (and family friend) yesterday and purchased his last Daytona from the safe. He's not getting anymore SS until the SS Ceramic comes out.

I heard today from an AD in my area that even the 116523 (TT) is stopped for now.

They will receive new batch in September with some slight update.

Asked what is the slight update, but got a vague reply, that he has seen in only in pictures, and he could not visualize the update.

Could be cr*p, but it could be a lead.

Not just for sake of reviving an old topic. But the AD i just went into had 3 left in their network of stores. I bought a black faced SS yesterday for 12k. They had two white ones left.
