What in the world is this watch (pic heavy)
Hi stumbled upon this ad on a local classified. It says its the first waterproof rolex from 1926. Its being sold for about $20,000. Does anyone have info on this watch??

Might be asking 20k but no way they'll get close. It's an early oyster cased rolex. Nice watch, historically significant but not highly desirable. I doubt a Rolex Submarine in 18kt would fetch anywhere near that and it's a much neater watch

The dial is later than the watch that is fairly certain.
The serial numbers are scrubbed so there is no way to tell if it is from 1926 or 1936 or ? The dial is 40's. |
