Sourcing Rolex Dials

Why does it seem that Daytona Dials are readily available in the market but you hardly see Dials for any other model for sale?

i hear ya! ive been trying to find a seadweller dial for a week and all the ones i can find are either rotten with scratches or worn out tritium.. new ones are 1/4 the price of the watch.... crazy!

I wonder, where do all the PM Daytona Dials come from? It would seen to me that these would be some of the most closely guarded by Rolex since Daytona is their crown jewel and they seem to go to pretty great lengths (foregoing SS sales) to up sell customers to PM Daytona.

Im still new here so, why change the dial? Wanting a different look or damage to the factory dial?

It's partly due to the 'bespoke' DLC / PVD companies putting their own custom dials in and selling the original dials on, same with bezels (diamond encrusting etc).

That is probably a source, but many dials come sealed on original Rolex packing, so those must be sourced directly from Rolex through a third party supplier, perhaps directly by whoever made them for Rolex?
