In the Madinat Zayed mall on the ground floor. I think they have outlets in other malls as well.

Buy, people are looking for unworn watches. The owner probably owned it for years, and saw all the posts on TRF about "don't polish" -- now, by not polishing, he is getting low-balled by thousands.
Yeah, but in this case, I'd tell the low-baller to take a hike.

If all that's wrong with the watch is what we can see, it can be brought back to like-new for the price of service or refinished for less, plus the price of a crystal, which isn't that much.

Personally, I'd rather buy a watch with some signs of wear than to buy one refinished by some ham-handed doofuss God only knows how many times.

The best reason not to refinish a watch at service is that nothing will stop the relentless collection of scratches caused by just casual wear.

I've handled enough watches to know used well and beat up. Images don't do it justice. Saw it again yesterday and it's real beat up. The seller also let it slip he can't sell it to a dealer as they offered him to little.

Indeed. Now would be the time to say "What the lowest you can go?" (Unfortunately, you've already committed another rookie mistake by already giving him the $5k offer! )

Let us know how it goes, you've already reopened negotiations by telling him you've received 'advice'. I'd shoot for $4k, dealer probably offered him $2-3k
