1675 - yet another question
Hello,
I just bought a 'new' one owner Mk1 Dial 1970 Box/Papers GMT 1675 that is not as yet in my possession, however wanted to ask a specific question of you boffins, if I may. My watch has the usual acrylic crystal with date blister as per most of the similar GMT's I see on here and elsewhere. However, I have seen another watch of the exact same year and description that has a domed style crystal without date blister, despite that watch also having a date function. Question is, did my watch come new from the factory with the flat / blistered style crystal, or the domed / no blister crystal, OR was there an option at the time? I promise this is the last watch I buy ... for a while! |

Your watch came with the cyclops crystal or bubble crystal . The domed crystal you refer to (not really domed) is a Tropic 38 which was available through Rolex as a replacement crystal.
