Not sure what to do with this...
Last night, an old friend who's on a ridiculous Bravo TV show (I won't mention which one), asked me to join him while he was doing some shooting with other cast members for a late night talk show on the same network.
At dinner he asked if he could wear my Sub for the filming. The inane conversation over drinks at dinner went something like this: Him: "Dude, lemme wear your Sub tonight for the filming." Me: (doing a spit-take) "No f*cking way, man! Absolutely not." Him: "Come on, dude! You can wear mine....Oh, and I might want to wear yours tomorrow when we shoot some more." Me: (while, stupidly, removing my watch) "You cannot lose this! It's my baby!" Him: (cutting me off while removing his watch) "I won't! Plus you'll have mine!" Me: (grimacing) "This simply cannot end well." Now, he's off shooting all day, and I'm stuck with this rickety old piece...which is filthy, by the way. |

Look at the warm creamy patina all over the stainless steel case and pushers! Wow.

I'd tell him he can keep the Sub.

Host: I see you are wearing a new watch tonite, you didn't trade your old Daytona in, did you?
Him: No, it was filthy from not taking care of it so I got this one to wear for the show. Host: Why didn't you get it cleaned up and wear it? Guest 2: He never cleans anything, waits until it falls off and gets it fixed. Him: That's not true, I have someone cleaning it for me right now, for free, Aaron wanted $200 to just clean the case up. Guest 3: Figures, playing Tom Sawyer, tricking someone into thinking that cleaning up your watch is a fun thing to do. Him: Cleaning up that watch is a really rewarding thing to do, a lot of people would beg me to do it but I let my friend have the honor and enjoyment. Host: You're a really nice guy. Guest 2: You really are. Guest 3: You are the best. |

Now that's not a bad temporary trade. Kind of like trading your Range Rover for an Aventador for a couple days.

Hope your buddy didn't find his soul mate and run off to Sri Lanka leaving you with a dirty old Daytona
