Ladies Rolex discount at AD?
Im looking to buy my wife a 178274 31mm DJ this year. I know they discount these things relatively steeply but curious what guys on here have gotten. While inquiring at a local AD regarding the DaytonaC, my wife tried one on and the saleswoman was very eager to sell the DJ to us and said she could work with me on price. Given that I want to surprise her with the watch, I didnt bother negotiating as I wasnt going to walk out of there with the watch that day. Of course I did say I would buy it that day if she guaranteed me a 116500 before the 4th of July, which she couldnt do.
I realize many will advise that I just go straight to a TRF grey mkt dealer, but it seems that bc there arent a lot of these for sale in the pre-owned mkt, it is difficult for me to get an idea where they should trade NIB from grey mkt dealers. Furthermore, I will be in Europe next week and if we assume I dont have a moral issue with my wife wearing the watch home and us shipping the boxes to our home, how is the pricing over there going to compare with a grey here on a 31mm? thanks everyone for your thoughts! |

Cannot comment on new euro prices...but ladies watches are rarely flipped like men's...
So just do your best to get a good deal on a new watch. I think formulas and averages won't do you much good. Try making an offer at 25% off msrp and see where it goes. |

We got 18% off plus tax on my wife's TT 31mm at a local AD. TRF trusted grey would have beat that by at least $1k since there would be no tax. I would not hesitate to buy from one of the trusted sellers, you'll get a good deal.
I think your absolute best price will be buying it in Europe. Depending on the country you'll save something like 20%, for example in Amsterdam it's a piece of cake to buy it at one of the airport boutiques. (After all, the grey dealers source from overseas and you're cutting out the middle man.) It will also make for a nice memory! If you're dead set on a specific model, call ahead and make sure to arrange it. |

Just as a heads up, there is a MASSIVE amounts of pre-owned women's Rolex watches at Capetown Diamond in Atlanta. Received a LNIB stickered Everose Daytona there and am very happy :)

You should be able to get 15 percent. Maybe 20 if it's been sitting there. I would be surprised if you could get 25 without being established but you never know.

The one time I bought a Lady's at an AD, it was a Masterpiece 18K white gold with diamond bezel, and I paid full price.

yes, i have browsed their website but their LNIB prices seem to be around the same price as a TRF grey would ask for a NIB watch.

I'd take 20% off from an AD
