What's the very FIRST thing....

....that attracts you to a certain watch?

Okay, so you're passing by your AD and you are doing a bit of "window shopping". You gaze and you gaze, you drool and you drool and then you ponder and you ponder.

And then you act....well, some of the time anyway!! But the question is....What is it about a watch that draws you toward it like a bits of iron toward a magnet? The dial, the bezel, the bracelet, the overall get-up, the what?

Cheers - JJ

I think it's the overall look of it. And if it fits your wrist well or not. If you got a larger wrist, then a smaller diameter watch doesn't fit too well.

But then again, it's a personal choice I think.

I think it's all in the look for me to start. The brand does play a part, but the initial thing is how it looks.

Seems like we're all pretty much in agreement. The first thing that pulls me to a particular watch in the window or display case is the appearance. If I get a gut feeling that I like the looks, I will investigate further. If the look doesn't call to me, I will pass it right by, no matter what the brand.

Right on, Ed....I guess that's exactly what happened to me end of December last year when I was drawn toward the Breitling Crosswind. Anyway, it all turned out well in the end.
