9 months later

Mike and Steve are on a road trip when they get caught in a fierce snowstorm. The two pull into a farm and knock on the front door. A beautiful woman answers and they ask if they can spend the night. The woman is sympathetic, but says, “I’m recently widowed. If I let you stay in my house, the neighbors will talk.” “Then we can sleep in the barn,” Mike says. “And if the weather improves, we’ll be gone by sunrise.” The woman agrees, and the men find their way to the barn. Early the next morning, the weather has improved, so the men depart. Nine months later, Mike receives a letter from the woman’s attorney. He visits Steve and asks, “Steve, nine months ago did you sneak into that farm widow’s room in the middle of the night?” “Yes, I have to admit I did,” Steve says. “And did you use my name instead of your own?” Mike continues. “Yes, I’m sorry, I did,” Steve says, clearly embarrassed. “Why do you ask?” “Well, she just died and left me everything!” Mike exclaims.
