"I've Got The Best Looking Speedy On The Planet !"
Hey Larry, aren't Speedys in their natural element OFF this planet and kind of hanging around on the Moon?

This is the Speedy that started my Omega collection:
Omega incorporated the famous Valjoux movement into their first automatic chronograph that was introduced in the late 80's. The one in the photo came with a sapphire crystal and I also had a TT with a hesalite crystal. An 18k version was also produced and here is a photo of the one I owned: Some referred to this as the "Golden Gate" Speedmaster. Although I have owned serveral dozen Speedmasters, this IMO is the most beautiful of the line. I'll be adding some more Speedies to the thread over time. Stay tuned. Fr. John+ |

Just found this side of TRF so apologies for the late entry.
I'm a huge fan of the Speedy Pro and I have 4 at the moment, from 1967 - 1969. Here are 2 cal 861s from 1969 plus a 321 from 1967. Just ordered a sapphire caseback for the 321 and looking forward to giving it a try. Cheers - Simon |
