Gold Rolex 18238 link sizes ? Are they all the same

Good morning new member Rolex newbie, sorry if this is a stupid question.

On my 18k DD I bought a link but the link says it fits 18238 but it's slightly wider than the other links....

Does this mean on each of the strap section each link is a different size?

Thank you for you replies in advance.

.

18038 was offered with 2 different President bracelets, 8385 with hidden clasp or 7286 with standard clasp.

Begining in 2000 a new president have been used on Daydate , the 83855 (later replaced by President 8320x , using same links).

All these president used different ref# for links, so maybe those links were all different in size (even if I can't confirm that), and you got the wrong ref# for your bracelet.

Anyway aftermarket is also a possibility.

The bracelet model number is engraved in the clasp. You should be able to find it easily.

.

it's around 16mm, I don't have the exact size.

You have true one on your bracelet so you can mesure them.

If your addon link is the one showed on your 1st picture in a previous post, there's little chance it comes from Rolex.

Perhaps a clear picture of your clasp showing the stamped 8385 could help. We may be chasing the wrong answer and the clasp may inform us better.
