Orchi, that's my first innocent victim reply. Most of them are pretty nasty with me and tell me it has been an accepted practice forever and I don't know shit - so do some research before I accuse them of anything improper or selling a watch that is not correct. When I read these replys, I know the guy knows what he is doing is wrong.

My response is usually goes like this - fraud, robbers, shoplifters, crooks and criminals have been around longer than those fake dials, but that doesn't make them legitimate either even though they have all become acknowledged forms of crime and/or a criminal profession.

john,I would be careful contacting these people about their watches.I am on probation right now for 6 months for harassment of other sellers.even though I just sent out an angry e-mail earlier to that gy selling all of the fake tudors-I might get canned for this one..never know..

....JOHN....we CANNOT afford to lose any of us on this reporting thing. I agree with Steve entirely about the cautious approach. For all practical points, WE should NOT confront the sellers about their items. However, I beleive we can ask questions about the item, trying to get info about them etc, but we should not be confrontational. I had a long conversation with Terry about this.

....again, we CANNOT afford to lose any one of us....be COOOOOL my friend.

Stan.

Steve, if you read the guys response, it really would appear that my contact wasn't harrassing, as evidenced by his reply. My comment to him was that his Tudor was fake and I explained why. Most guys don't realize it, but some do and take the approach that it isn't my business, I don't have a clue or many sellers place them for sale on ebay without a problem. When I get the second response noted in the previous sentence I get a little more detailed with them.

I've been working on having these Rolex/Tudors removed for over a year now. So you guys settle down, strap in and enjoy your ride and be nice to the those ebay sharks before you drop the hammer on them. That formula has has worked for me for 10 years and counting.

I'm off to Sturgis.

no problem buddy,I tend to get over emotional when I am confronted with a seller who knows what they are selling is fake and I have gotten in trouble most probably for the language in which I describe what I think of them.
have fun in sturgis!!
