Rolex 1500

Hey guys/gals,

Hate to do this as one of my first posts here but this is where the experts live.

Anyhow, I'm a frequent member on WUS and came here with a question about a vintage Rolex.

Any information would be super helpful! I'm looking to understand value and general things about it. To my knowledge, it's all original and appears to be in fantastic shape with a recent service from a reputable jeweler.

Pics below :)

Welcome Drew. That's a nice looking watch. Too bad a tad small by today's standard. The condition looks good, probably been lightly polished. Check out a few online sites for price check. I would say around 2K. Here is mine albeit gold capped one.

I blame it on the autoconnect.

Thanks!

The gold cap is a nice touch.

I agree it feels a tad small in today's world. Ideally I'd love to have a DJ, as it feels a bit more comfortable on the wrist.

H I Andrew, I have the same silver dial of 1500 like yours but mine is signa dial. I bought at 2.3k with box and paper if I remember correctly. Guess the price is around 2k plus depending in the condition or full set.

I wear my 1501 more than any other watch because of the weight and casual comfort.

Thanks Mineral. Unfortunately, being a 1967 I don't have the full set. Merely the receipt from recent service.

Perhaps I'll be able to land a trade for a 70-80's DJ if the value is floating around $2k
