Old Daytona back on Rolex website

I was sure the old ones were taken down because they were disc., but I notice they are back on the site. Are they actually discontinued?

I'm debating on a Daytona and my AD has three sitting in the case. I figure I might be able to get a discount. This AD is a slow seller of Rolex watches. They also have BLNR, etc sitting in the case. I really, really want the ceramic version, but figure that is years out considering I don't have a relationship with an AD as I only own one Rolex.

Very interesting. Kind of makes a little sense to offer both, if they are considering doing so. Certainly the white dial is very different, the 520 appearing to be dressier and the 500 much sportier.

Wow this is a head scratcher! Are they trying to advertise the steel model until all inventory is gone? Or are both steel and ceramic being sold concurrently??this is most certainly very interesting......

Nah they won't be producing those any longer. If you look closer on the site you'll see that they also have the old two tone and PM models as well with the older bezel. It's just an inventory transition. You can't actually configure these older pieces on the site.

The old models are only shown when you expand the view by clicking on the button that takes you to the landing page that shows all models. You can't configure or select the old models on the main product page

In programming terms, that's called a bug.
