Black Dial on Ceramic Daytona

Can owners of the black dial ceramic tell me if the black dial is the same as on the previous Daytona as I have heard that the sub dials are not as shiny?

Thanks in advance.

I just put a little video on Instagram ... I think you can see it better on video than on a picture

Don't know how to upload video here

Actually, he asked about the subdials. I haven't seen one in person yet, but they do appear matte vs. shiny.

You're a star thank you. The reason I am asking is because I currently own the previous SS model with a white dial, I would like to keep the white dial and have the black inserted following service. I had a feeling the sub dials were different and prefer the shiny sub dials on the previous black dial. I guess my concern is that they will put the new black dial in as opposed to the previous black dial, although I guess they must still have supplies of the previous black dial.

Im surprised of how many black dial daytona c are being bought even though everyone was going crazy for the white dial pre release.

If you ask Rolex to change your 116520 white dial to a black dial, you'll get the 116520 black dial with the sliver/shiny sub dials, not the black dial on the 116500 with the grayish non shiny sub dials.

Yes, that is what is supposed to happen. Be advised they will keep your old dial.
