Questions for 5140G owners.
I am considering purchasing the 5140G. How do people like the piece? Does it wear well, comfortable and legible?
I really like the look of the watch. It seems legible and a nice size for my 6 5/8 wrist. Any thoughts about or experience with the 5140 would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was underwhelmed and traded it a few months after getting it.
The date dial was my main issue at time it was difficult to read and it looked cramped. Some years later I got a 3940, that piece was awesome. A smaller diameter case but lot easier to read.

I love the 5140. I have a P, but here's a picture of it with its brother, G.

Super pics. I think I will pull the trigger very soon. I love the dial and the movement. It will be a nice addition to my 5110J. Thank you very much for your thoughts. Here is one pic of it on my wrist at the AD a few months ago.

They really look good on both of your wrists. Perfect size. I was concerned about the 37mm size but looks good to me.

It looks great on your wrist. It's a special watch, IMHO. I wear mine about 3-4 days a week and love it. Mine is at the spa right now (regular service), and I miss having it on my wrist. Looking forward to the incoming! ![]() ![]()

Gotta agree with this and one of the drawback to most the PP PC's....all have date dials (except 5159) which I dont think is the easiest to read at the best of time versus the window. Also the dials seem to have collapsed below the meridien and then there is the open space at the 12 position. 37 mm and this is not the one for me! However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's a very popular, foundation PP which thousands of people enjoy...for me its the 5327G-001 blue dial which is drop dead gorgeous but close to zero chance of actually telling the time with the silver hands against the blue dial...

When I first got it, I used the winder, but then decided to set and go. If it does stop, I usually only am behind by a few days at most since I wear it so regularly, so I will wind the time forward the 24 - 48 hours, which switches over the different functions of the PC. Easy enough.

Dial is just blah for me on the G. Wears great though. Love the ultra thin. Very legible and clean minus the small 5 & 27. I had the P older dial and loved it with the blue croc strap.

It's good, but there are better ways to spend your money with Patek.

I spoke with a Patek trained rep regarding this. He told me that all the pusher buttons are tested at least 1000 times each before shipping. Therefore he thinks it is no problem to reset the different functions of the watch routinely with the pusher buttons. This is what I was told when I asked the question at a Patek boutique.
