Omega GSOTM deployment clasp
Does anyone have any information on a deployment clasp with grey leather strap for the grey side of the moon watch. When I called Omega they told me that it doesn't exist yet but my AD told me that they can order them for me at a cost of approximately $600 for the ceramic deployment clasp and $367 for the leather strap. Does that sound right?

It's about 667 for the clasp and 350 for the strap. They seem to be behind on having these available for the gsotm.

I tried on a DSOTM last weekend at the Omega boutique in Boca Raton. I did not realize that they are now making them available out of the box with the ceramic deployment clasp. The salesperson mentioned to me that they just recently started offering that as an option, although I did not see that on the Omega website as a specific reference.

You can tell the deployment clasp models as their model number ends in .002 vs .001 for the tang model.

This is the most screwed up option with this piece and I've been in close contact with my local boutique for over 6 months trying to acquire information about it. They are having issues matching the "GREY" ceramic to the case is what I've been told and that is why only the GSOTM clasp isn't on the market yet in the USA. I have heard that one was sold in Europe but can't confirm by photos. I bought straps to change over to deployant clasp on my GSOTM back in 2015 and still can't get the silly clasp lol.
I just traded my GSOTM and couple other watches for a PP but am keeping my straps because will eventually buy another when the clasp situation is straightened out. It's one of my favorite watches by a long shot but having a deployant with ceramic cased watch ought to be standard from the get go IMO. I wore it as a daily beater without any fears of damaging the case but taking it off and putting it back on every time I would get the gator strap wet was a risk of dropping it with the tang buckle that shouldn't have required holding my wrist over a soft object. |

just to update everyone....
I was able to acquire a titanium/ceramic deployment clasp directly from the Omega service center. The clasp is slightly darker than the case but it looks good and works perfectly. It matches up very well with the deployment strap (CUZ004450). The clasp reference number that they provided for me is O 025CTZ003900 and it was $460 USD. Any questions please feel free to contact me. I really love the clasp and feel Omega should never have gone for tang buckle on the SOTM watches. |

the Grey deployant has been produced, but it currently not available.
It is on the Meteorite Greyside of the moon that was introduced at Basel 2016. When it is in full scale production, I'm sure you'll be able to order one. as it is, I'm sure that the Current "Black" ceramics will look just fine.

For what it's worth, these clasps (in Grey) are now available.
I ordered one, same as whatever is on the new GSOTM watches (311.93.44.51.99.002 vs 311.93.44.51.99.001) It's probably one of these two from the catalog: Grey Ceramic brushed-polished 025CTZ003889 Grey ceramic brushed 025CTZ003900 In any case, it was $399 + Tax at the OB. |
