Portland, OR AD?

I am going to take a little trip later this month with my fiancee to Portland to visit my best friend and his wife. I am thinking about stopping by a Portland AD to purchase my GMT IIc as I wouldn't have to pay for sales tax. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with ADs in the Portland area?

Fantastic! Are they all AD's? Which one has the most stock? I am going on August 14-17th and am hoping to get a GMT IIc for a good price.

Alex's is a cool place. He worked on my watches when I lived in Portland.

Great post. My wife and I are visiting family in the Pacific NW (Portland, Seattle and Vancouver BC) the week of 8/25. If I have time, I will check the AD's out ! Safe travels everyone !

Basically you have 4 AD choices in Portland.

Ben Bridge. No discounts and lots of "Rolex won't allow us to discount." BS.

Friedlanders. Nice people, no BS, but no discounts.

Packhouse Jewelers. Mr. Packhouse is a great guy. Very professional. No discounts.

Carl Greve Jewelers Downtown. Great people, service, free drinks, after purchase service and a willingness to discount certain watches.

Definitely a great place. He's a great watchmaker. I love how you can watch them work through the glass. Last time I was in he had a nice late 60's GMT-1675. Very cool. Cheers !
