Tudor Black Bay in house vs Seamaster 300 Master Coaxial

Which do you like more? That does not influence that we are in a forum Rolex. Which one of these two would you have?

I don't own an In House BB, but I looked closely at this Omega as well as a few others before buying my ETA BB, and to me the quality level of the Tudor was hands down superior. I'm not talking about what's under the hood, I'm just talking about good old fashioned 'in hand' fit and finish, as well as some functionality, pulling the crown, winding, setting time, etc.

The Tudor just felt like it was in a different league IMO.

I like the looks of the Tudor over the Omega, from purely an aesthetic viewpoint. But, to be honest, I don't know enough about either one to make a judgement call.

I would like to be the first to say Seamaster. One of the best watches in current Omega catalog.

I'd rather own and wear the seamaster.

I really like Tudors and own a THC. The new in-house movement in the BB with the new bracelet are great too. I've been close to grabbing the old BB, but the Seamster 300 is in a whole different league IMHO. I'm biased, though, as I've owned one for over a year and worn it nearly every day.

The dial, domed sapphire crystal, and liquid metal bezel are simply a cut above the Tudor. The whole watch feels properly proportioned on my wrist too. Travelling with this watch is easy with the adjustable hour hand and my calibre 8400 anti-magnetic movement inside has also kept remarkable time despite taking some knocks and acquiring some character marks along the way. Its a watch I dont worry about, I just wear it for anything. This watch can dress up or down, and I often have it on a strap.

This is a difficult one.

I already own a BB (Red, ETA), and own and have owned some Omegas along the way.

The SM300 MC is a watch I really like a lot. To the point of seriously considering getting one at some point. The quality of these recent Omega watches is well on par with Tudor's (IMO), and the movement inside this one is a very interesting one. One thing I find lacking with Omega is the service network. At least the one in Benelux is terrible.

I am not that interested in the Tudor in-house. I kinda feel that the ETA "belongs" in a Tudor, for historical reasons at least. And the two ETA powered Tudors I have owned (Sub 79090 and BB) have performed superbly.

So given the choice I would probably go Tudor if only for the after sales service network reliability.

But if at all possible I'll say I would happily own both (I plan to).

As a Tudor nut, I am on the fence between this and that Omega - both sing to me and I have twice stopped myself from buying them. I am so glad I bought a 1961 Tudor that popped up after I looked at both of these ;)

TBB for sure, don't care for the looks of the omega.

Neither will hold value, but the Tudor will be much cheaper to buy and is likely to age better.

I like both.....and I was thinking about this the other day when I had one of my Black Bays on as well. I still prefer the fit, finish, feel of the SM300 with the 8500 master coaxial movement. I'm very biased toward this watch since I have the Spectre version with the lollipop hands and the unique GMT bezel which I love (I don't have other dive watches with GMT function). But it is just a classy design and a great continuation of the SM300 line.

Omega 300mc!
Plus I'd take the ETA BB over the new one.
