What are,if any the drawbacks of a brass watch case?

I have read that brass is a very good material for watch cases, anti-magnetic and all, and commonly used in the past, but it seems to me that brass cases are usually plated, to keep from turning "your arm green," for instance.

Inexpensive watches often use plated-brass cases, Timex, Armitron, etc.
