Decision Time...Need Your Help!

OK, a decision has to be made in the next day or two and your input/advice is much needed. Which duo should I go with:

1. BLNR and SubC Date
2. BLNR and SubC No Date

Appreciate that option 2 would sort of give me the most 'difference' as one has a date and the other not. But then I do think that inherently, the SubC Date and BLNR are quite different enough and in this combo, I would have that date complication that I do tend to look for. What's a more balanced duo? Which Sub is more classic and which one is more iconic? Would having 2 watches with cyclops be too redundant?
Anyone with either of the two combinations above have any words of advice?

Go with your preference...my collection is quite redundant if 2 with a cyclops is

Some people prefer the no date, clean dial. If you want the date, go that route...I wouldn't let having the BLNR prevent that. One is a colored bezel, has a third hand, different clasp (though not obvious on the wrist) and polished center links...the other is all black bezel, brushed links.

If you want a dive watch with a date but no cyclops, try a Sea Dweller 116600. My overall favorite watch.

Neither option.

No discretionary purchase ever has to be made in a day or two.

Are you buying a watch you intend to wear or something to be put in a display case and admired?

If you are going to wear the thing then either you want a date or you don't; it's as simple as that-nothing else matters. If the watch will spend its life in a display case and not on your wrist then worry about which is more iconic/balance to your collection/redundant features.

Personally, I want a watch I can wear and be happy wearing. I use the date function all the time and do not own a watch that does not display the date.

Option 2 the 114060 is beautiful with its symmetrical dial. You would have a cyclops dial with the GMT. Best of both worlds.

Option 2.

Clean and simple ND Sub and BLNR is my intended duo.

Option 2 like you stated blnr have a date so a nd sub would give you a no cyclop option.
