Even though I'm an owner of two BBs, I have to say if I were you I would go for Pelagos as a daily beater because it has a date, which is pretty useful for work days for that quick check. I tend to wear my BBs on weekends or on holidays because not having a date takes away my work stress and worries. That's just me...

Do you have the BB Black on a Ranger bracelet? It looks cool with the straight end links!

Black Pelagos is my choice.
Had a Black Bay and it's just not exciting enough for my taste only wore it twice before flipping it.
Besides Rolex provide what I need in steel.
The Pelagos is just so different and apart from being thick, a perfect watch.

I chose between the Black Bay Blue and the black ETA Pelagos and the Pelagos won. It is stout, handsome in its own utilitarian way, the look is unlike any other watch. I love the look and feel of the titanium and the lume is so awesome you can see it glowing during the day. I still go back to look at the BBB. I want to buy it because logically I know it's a great watch and it's a great time to buy because ADs are selling them off but emotionally it does nothing for me. I look at it and I like it but I don't love it. I do however love my black ETA Pelagos.

BB is my choice. As for the lumes, BB lumes run as strong as my former 114060. Can't speak for Pelagos lumes but I'd venture to say they are just as strong Rolex diver Chromalight.

I'd get the BB it's stunning!! The Pelagos is a great watch too but my thoughts were that the face although a nice shade of blue looked plastic on an expensive watch whereas the BB always looks a bit more substantial. The Pelagos is good though so I'm not running it down. The lume is great on it too however who spends their life wandering about in the pitch dark? good luck whatever you choose

Eta makes a fine movement. Don't bother tryig to argue otherwise. And Tudor historically had Eta movements (except the very early 390 which I think as an A. Schlid made movement).

Anyway, you can't go wrong with any of the (now three) choices.

Absolutely. Good to read this post, ETA is an excellent movement they are cheaper to service and reliable. You can't go wrong they still tell the time like an in-house

of these two the pelagos...but if it's against the BBN (black dial model with gold edged hands) thats much tougher for me. I have them both haha.

Don't have a Pelagos just yet (been looking for one) but ever since I got my BB, none of my other Rolexs have gotten any wrist-time.

Omg I started this thread a few months ago......who brought this back to life? I have bought and sold a pelagos since then. So the pelagos was my choice and still is. I could see myself buying another someday.

This would be a nice compliment to your Pelagos.

Someone saw my picture of the BBB on the Ranger bracelet and asked if that's what they saw.

Someone wanted to buy it for the right price and I wasn't really attached to it. Bought an exolorer 2 after that (216570), sold that to. Just bought a blnr and D blue this month and happy so far 👍.
