It really comes down to how you size and wear your watch. Keeping your watch cleaned and maintenance is a must. Some people never wash their watch and you can clearly tell when you purchase one filled with gunk between the bracelet and end link. Once you clean the gunk out, you will notice the stretch even more.

I agree. Even a watch never cleaned should show substantially less wear than a watch loosely worn. For wear to occur the parts must move.
