1966 Tudor Submariner 7928
I was hoping to get some expert opinions on this watch. I know the crown is a later triplock and I think the bezel insert is as well. The watch came in a Rolex Service Division box so quite possibly serviced by them - hence the changes.
I think the dial is correct (under the very scratched crystal) and the movement but I am not up on these watches. I note the bezel turns both ways and it does not click. Not sure if that is normal or not for the vintage. So comments welcome. Edit: Just added better pics of the dial. Last edited by ledcat1; 18 October 2016 at 05:28 AM.. Reason: more pictures |

Looking at some others - now the dial seems funky. Replacement?

Hard to say - dial printing looks OK but almost like they put on half the paint - comparing to this 67 dial below. Scratches in crystal really hold off better judgement. What is the price?
Insert replaced, movement good (USA sold with ROW in gold). Hands look replaced - would expect Big Bubble Sweep

Maybe it was cleaned somehow? It came with a Rolex bracelet 78360 with 580 end pieces that i am selling. The bracelet also had an H which must be a 1980s code.
