AP sizes...
Why don't AP cater more for us guys with small wrists (6.25")? Surely I'm not the only person with tiny wrists?!
37mm and 39mm fit great but any 41mm or ROO just swallows my wrists up! |

6.3 inch wrist here. What's the problem with the 37mm and 39mm RO's? As for the Offshores, they wouldn't work in smaller sizes. Look at the 37mm ROO, it just doesn't look right as a true sports watch. The Offshore was created as a big, bold sports watch that makes a statement. You cannot scale it down to just any size. And even at 40mm it would be too large for our wrists, due to the lug shape. Even the 39mm RO lugs are a bit of a stretch.
Here's the 37mm ROO, next to a classic 42mm ROO: ![]() I've taken the picture from this page: http://www.philippinewatchclub.org/f...php?f=12&t=572 While it looks fine on photos, in the metal it just doesn't work. At least for me it didn't come through when I've tried it on. BTW, if you like the basic concept of steel sports watches with an integrated bracelet, there are other brands offering timepieces that use the same concept. IWC Ingenieur, GO Seventies Panorama Date, GP Laureato, VC Overseas, Eterna Royal KonTiki GMT, etc. Not to mention the mighty Nautilus ![]()

I agree the ROOs are meant to be big and bold. I was trying on a Breitling the other day and it was 43mm but only 12mm thick and it felt wrong somehow, just too slim.

Plenty of small APs. Try the 15202 and 15300.

It depends what you're looking for, I've a small wrist but can wear a 15450, 15400 or a massive 26170. Of course the ROO is quite big, but wears really well as sportwatch. The 15450 is really a nicer watch then the 15300 as the white-silverisch dial, with a well made bracelet. I wanted to sell it, but need to find somebody interested in these.
In fact, watch diameters on AP's aren't a good reference, as my 15450 measures case to winder +-40-41mm. The 15400 measures at 43mm complete width. If you compare this with a daytona, a daytona is 39mm complete width with winder. |

I wear a RO 4100. At 35mm it sits perfectly on my small wrist.

For some the size is something you'll get used to after a while. Chances are you'll be able to pull it off! I have small wrist as well and went through this in the past.

I have a small wrist about 6.4 inches and I wear an AP ROO at 42mm and the new 41mm open worked. The APs balance well and these feel very comfortable on my wrist. I had a Breitling 42mm 12 or 13mm and it never felt comfortable on my wrist and sold it.

A little oversized look is fine. I have a 6.5" wrist and wear a 42mm ROO and think it works well with my wrist size.

It's simply not their focus for a couple of reasons.
a) the masses by and large prefer large watches at this time. b) these watches happen to look great on professional athletes in marketing anyways. c) did I mention the masses prefer large watches? I have a 7" wrist and I'm 6'3". I find many ROOs to be larger than ideal but it's really a matter of personal preference. I could certainly feel comfortable wearing them all and I do believe if you love it...you should wear it ![]() K (If AP made some of their 44s in 40mm I would be ecstatic) |

Well AP's are huge. Especially ROO line. It's sort of the point of the watch.
