Thanks for the comparison pic that's very helpful, or makes things trickier should I say! I am going to take that trip to London for another look at the 44mm ROO before a final decision. Still considering waiting a bit longer and getting the 5980/1R as it's really just awesome. Will be sure to post up what comes next.
