16570 Polar Explorer II Dial Font

Hi all,

I am looking for an polar explorer II and have come across the following listing. The font looks a bit strange, however, even when compared to another 1996 listed on the same site.

I have heard good things about Alex Pig on this forum but the font just looks really off - any explanation for this?

Thanks,
C

1996 that does not look "different":

It looks a bit strange? How? Looks perfect to me, correct dial Swiss T25 for 1996. The watch is good

Oh I see spacing looks bigger on second image. It is just angle of photo, all lettering lines up fine

Thanks for the reply - I am looking at the difference in the font for the text "OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE EXPLORER II," one seems to be a significantly bigger+serif font. Is this normal?

Sitting on the couch wear a T-serial Explorer II right now that looks very similar to the above pictures. What specifically looks off to you?

Which one does yours look similar to? The top one seems like a bigger/serif font, which I haven't seen before (but then again I'm new to this!)

Great, thanks so much - I just never saw one with the bigger font (top) before and wanted to check in.

Thanks, I love it. It is an Everest.

And man is that pic horrible, the watch looks way better in person. So much for IPad photography.
